New Delhi: Devendra Fadnavis ' sudden takeover in Maharashtra was conceived as a "drama" to shield Rs 40,000 crore in central funds and safely return it, BJP leader Ananth Kumar Hegde said in a surprising statement that made his party embarrassed."You all know that our guy was chief minister recently in Maharashtra for only 80 hours, but soon Fadnavis resigned. Why did we have to do this drama? Didn't we know? Why did he become chief minister despite knowing that we don't have a majority?
