01:10 pm BJP MLA from Ghaziabad, Nand Kishore Gujjar wrote a letter to Prakash Javdekar, Minister of Information and Broadcasting, requesting that the Salman Khan's reality show "Bigg Boss" be taken off the air. The BJP legislator argued that the "show encouraged obscenity and vulgarity and was inappropriate for viewing with the family. "Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the one hand, attempts to restore India's lost glory and, on the other hand, these shows have degraded the culture of the country," he wrote. The Brahmin Mahasabha also sought an immediate effect ban on the reality show. In this regard, the Mahasabha submitted a memorandum to the Ghaziabad district magistrate.
03:07 pm Mumbai: Actors Rajendra Chawla and Naveen Pandita will play father and son in the show "Ek Bhram - Sarvagun Sampanna". They will be seen essaying negative leads who plot against Shrenu Parikh's character. "I have seen Rajendraji multiple times on screen and I was in awe of his act on the very first day on the set. Sharing screen space with him as his son is going to be very helpful for me and I feel privileged," Naveen said, on playing Rajendra Chawla's son. Talking of his character, Rajendra Chawla said: "My character Anupam Chopra is the manager of a business empire who never got credit for his work. The biggest reason for me to take up this role was Anupam Chopra is an unabashedly bad guy and has no qualms about it." The show airs on StarPlus.
03:07 pm Mumbai: Actress Shraddha Arya of "Kundali Bhagya" fame is set to participate in season nine of the celebrity dance reality show, "Nach Baliye", which is being produced by superstar Salman Khan. Shraddha says she is paying more attention to fitness now. "It feels wonderful to be a part of 'Nach Baliye 9'. I am more conscious about my health and fitness regime now. I work out and eat healthy, so that helps me to stretch better as well. Overall, I am paying more attention to fitness," Shraddha said. Shraddha, however, refused to reveal details about her performance on Nach Baliye 9. "I can't reveal details about my dance performance, but it is going to be an amazing one on a really beautiful song, which I am sure the audience will love," she said. The new season of "Nach Baliye" has a twist. It will have five former couples participating along with five couples who are still together.
03:07 pm Mumbai: American series "Ray Donovan" is set to be remade in India after international production company Locomotive Global Inc., acquired the rights from CBS Studios International. Created by Ann Biderman, "Ray Donovan", a crime series which premiered on Showtime in 2013, is currently in the production of its seventh season, read a statement. Talking about the Indian version of the series, Sunder Aaron, co-founder of Locomotive Global Inc., said: "India is one of the biggest entertainment markets in the world. There is a voracious appetite for high-quality drama series throughout the region. "We think 'Ray Donovan', with its complex and gritty storylines and strong anti-hero central character, is in sync with the themes and genres that are resonating with Indian viewers right now." The series is based on the character Ray Donovan, who works as a mediator for a law firm that handles celebrities and wealthy clients. The original show stars actors Liev Schreiber, Eddie Marsan, Dash Mihok, Katherine Moennig, Pooch Hall, Kerris Dorsey, Devon Bagby and Graham Rogers.

In turn, actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui will come back as Ganesh Gaitonde, who, in his quest to re-establish his power and position as the king, sets up a new cartel far away from his land. Batya Abelman (Kalki Koechlin) and Shahid Khan (Ranvir Shorey), the new characters joining the world of "Sacred Games", will surprise the audience by adding numerous twists to the tale. And who can forget the all-knowing and intriguing Guruji (Pankaj Tripathi)? The viewers can find out more about the story of this self-proclaimed renaissance man who plays a crucial role in shaping and building the crescendo in the new season. 03:07 pm Mumbai : Small screen star Debina Bonnerjee wears a bikini on the television show, "Vish: A Poisonous Story" for the first time in her career. Although many Bollywood actresses have flaunted bikini bodies on the big screen, the idea is not commonplace on TV shows. "Actors need to be flexible when it comes to stories. I was nervous initially but I knew that the plot line of the show demanded this," Debina said. "My character in Vish Kanya is of someone who doesn't care about anyone and that has to reflect in my acting. I think times are changing and people are more accepting, irrespective of the medium of storytelling. My fans have always supported me," she added. The show was recently launched on Colors TV and it also features Sana Makbul, Vishal Vashishtha, Krip Suri and Ayush Anand.
