In total, over 140 petitions regarding the matter were submitted to SC. Supreme Court asks Centre to file reply in four weeks.
08:01 pm New Delhi: Tis Hazari Court of Delhi on Tuesday amended its bail conditions for Chandra Shekhar Azad, head of the Bhim Army, enabling him to visit the national capital after informing local police. Azad was granted bail last week but was not allowed to go to Delhi for the next four weeks and was asked to mark his presence at Uttar Pradesh with the Saharanpur Police every Saturday during the time. He had again moved the court to seek a modification of the bail conditions. In a new order on Tuesday, judge Kamini Lau said Azad will mark it whenever in Saharanpur, instead of marking attendance every Saturday, and if he marks DCP Crime in Delhi on Saturday. If not in either place, he'll telephonically inform of whereabouts to DCP Crime, the court said.
03:01 pm Eight Indian tourists, hailing from Kerala, died Tuesday while receiving treatment at a hospital in Kathmandu, Nepal's capital. Earlier the tourists were found unconscious at a resort in central Nepal, said news agencies. All eight tourists had stayed in a single room in the resort, and switched on a gas heater at night to combat the cold, according to Kathmandu police.

12:01 pm The ' One Nation, One Ration Card ' system of the central government, under which beneficiaries can purchase subsidized food grains from ration shops in any part of the country, will be implemented nationwide by June 1. Union Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, speaking to reports at Patna in Bihar, said, "We will implement the ' One Nation, One Ration Card ' scheme throughout the country by June 1st. Under this scheme, a beneficiary will be able to avail benefits across the country using the same ration card."
