New Delhi: The Center decided to recall from Assam 29 Army columns and from Tripura two Assam Rifles columns. The forces were mobilized as the mob turned violent in many parts of the states in the wake of demonstrations against the recently enacted Citizenship Amendment Act 2019. The forces helped police to maintain law and order situation in the region.
