G 20 Virtual summit

New Delhi: Narendra Modi will attend G-20 Summit Virtual, chaired by Saudi Arabia, on Thursday through video conferencing.  

An unprecedented move, the conference G-20 Virtual is expected to prepare an action plan to fight the coronavirus. The video conferencing will take place from 5.30 p.m. on Thursday evening till 7 p.m.

Prime Minister Modi Wednesday tweeted that the G-20 will play an important role to fight against COVID-19 threat and believed the meeting will have an effective discussion on preventing spread of coronavirus and measures to mitigate its effect.

The members of  G-20 countries may discuss and announce a package to deal with the crisis.

Currently, over 150 countries are affected by the coronavirus. According to data from the John Hopkins University, 4,38,000 people worldwide have been infected with this disease, and the death toll has crossed 20,000.
