COVID patient dies in Sri

Srinagar recorded its first coronavirus casualty as a patient undergoing treatment at a city-run hospital succumbed in the hospital. Doctors at the Chest Diseases Hospital, Srinagar said that the patient had ailments of hypertension, diabetes and obesity. He was a member of Tablighi Jamaat (religious preachers) and had come into contact with foreigners before coming back to the valley.

Before being admitted in the hospital he had come into contact with many including doctors, nurses, paramedics, etc. and had also taken part in religious congregations in Sopore town of Kashmiri’s Baramulla district.

Four among those who came in contact have tested positive. Some among them have gone on self-quarantine and are availing medical advice.
