Prayagraj Mela Authority Issues Notice to Swami Avimukteshwaranand Over Use of ‘Shankaracharya’ Title

Prayagraj: The Prayagraj Mela Authority has served a notice to Swami Avimukteshwaranand seeking clarification on the legitimacy of his use of the ‘Shankaracharya’ title, traditionally reserved for the highest spiritual leaders of Sanatana Dharma. According to Mela Authority officials, the notice refers to a Supreme Court order and states that Swami Avimukteshwaranand is not recognised
