Udhampur, Jammu & Kashmir: The women-led bike expedition titled “MY Bharat Bikers Expedition”, flagged off from Balidan Stambh in Jammu to mark Kargil Vijay Diwas, received a warm welcome at Subash Stadium, Udhampur. The expedition is a tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of the soldiers who fought in Operation Vijay (1999) during the Kargil War. The event aims to honour their legacy and inspire patriotism, while also showcasing the spirit and strength of women riders leading the journey to Kargil. Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated every year on 26 July in India, to observe India’s victory over Pakistan in the Kargil War for ousting Pakistani Forces from their occupied positions on the mountain tops of the Northern Kargil District in Ladakh in 1999.
