Mumbai: Actor and former Member of Parliament Govinda is currently admitted to CritiCare Hospital in Juhu, Mumbai, for tests after being instructed to see a neurologist.
His manager, Shashi Sinha, told IANS that the reports are awaited and that the actor is being closely monitored by physicians. When asked about Govinda’s health, Sinha shared, “He had a severe headache and felt heaviness in his head. He also felt dizzy, and because of that, he has been advised to see a neurologist. Doctors are conducting a check-up. He was admitted last night, and the doctor will examine him soon.”
Govinda was promptly taken to CritiCare Hospital after apparently losing consciousness at his home in the early hours. The actor’s friend and legal advisor, Lalit Bindal, verified the news to IANS. According to him, Govinda was initially given medication following a telephonic consultation with a doctor, but was afterwards taken to the hospital at 1 a.m. for emergency care.
Lalit also informed that the renowned actor was taken to the hospital after falling unconscious at his home.
The 61-year-old actor was admitted to the hospital just one day after visiting renowned actor Dharmendra, who is rehabilitating at Breach Candy Hospital. In an online video, the ‘Raja Babu’ star was seen leaving the hospital.
This is the actor’s second hospitalisation in a year. Last October, he was hospitalised at the same hospital after accidentally injuring his leg with a licensed revolver. The Hero No. 1 actor sustained a wound below the knee and underwent an hour-long ICU surgery to safely remove the bullet.
According to reports, Govinda was about to leave for Kolkata and was putting his handgun back in the cupboard when it unintentionally discharged.
