The idol of Adi Shankara was re-installed at the Sri Shankara Mattham, Mumbai,on September 16. Various homams ,bathing the idols and Gopuram with holy water preceded the installation.

Thereafter abhishekams with milk, honey, Sandal paste, with the Vedic chanting by pandits on the Adi Shankara idol was done. The idol was taken out of the Sanctum Sanctorum a few months back to conduct major repairs to Gopuram and interiors.
