Mumbai: The slaughtering  of cattle  has been banned  in private apartments and housing societies, the Bombay High Court said on Tuesday after hearing a petition from animal welfare organizations. In its order, which comes ahead of Bakri I d next week, the tribunal only permitted animal slaughter in the slaughter houses approved by the government.
