Navi Mumbai: A 27-year-old Nerul man supposedly killed his 30-year-old sister and in the early hours of Wednesday slit his 24-year-old wife's throat. The police are looking for the accused Nagesh Lad and have recorded a case under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 302 (murder) and 307 (assassination attempt). Lad had been on bail for about a month, according to police, after being sent to prison for breaking IPC section 326 (causing grievous hurt). "Because of his criminal background, Lad's parents disowned him and he stayed in different places. His wife Jyotshna and two-year-old son remained in the village of Kukshet in Nerul, Sector 14, with their relatives, "a Nerul police officer said.
