Noida: A man suspected of having murdered his two daughters, aged six and three, in a drunken rage after a fight with his wife on Thursday night at Uttar Pradesh's Greater Noida. The suspect, Harish Solanki, a Surajpur resident, has been absconding since Friday morning when his wife discovered the bodies. "She found the body of one daughter in the house. While other found in a nearby empty plot," said Dilip Kumar, senior sub-inspector at the Surajpur Police Station. Police had sent the bodies for autopsy and said that the cause of death appeared to be head injuries inflicted by repeated rock hits. At the time of the incident, the suspect was believed to be drunk.
"The accused was a heavy drinker, according to the wife, and the two would often argue about his habit of drying up the house's funds. He came home intoxicated on Thursday night, and the two had heated fights. It was after the incident took place, "said police. A search is on for the absconding father.
