As the temples are set to reopen on November 16 for the public, the Sri Shankara Mattham Matunga is sanitising the entire temple with the help of the BMC employees in time to get ready for the grand opening. The entire temple was sanitised. Though the devotees are very happy, the government has put stringent conditions for the entry, which has put the authorities to get more manpower to see the devotees adhere to the norms like keeping the footwear outside, wearing the mask, sanitising the hands before the entry, maintaining safe distance and no crowding inside.
