The Governor of Maharashtra and Goa Bhagat Singh Koshyari has greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Mahavir Jayanti. In his message, the Governor has said:

“Mahavir Jayanti reminds us of Bhagwan Mahavira’s noble life and his teachings of Satya, Ahimsa, Aparigraha and Anekant. Let us draw inspiration from the life of Bhagwan Mahavir and promote love and harmony among people.  I convey my heartiest greetings to all my fellow citizens on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti.”
