The Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari has expressed grief over the demise of well-known Sanskrit scholar Pandit Ghulam Dastagir Birajdar. In a condolence message, the Governor wrote:

“I was saddened to know about the demise of Pandit Ghulam Dastagir Birajdar, renowned Sanskrit scholar and teacher from Solapur district. He dedicated his entire life for the promotion and propagation of Sanskrit. I pay my respects to the departed soul and convey my condolences to the members of the bereaved family.”
