Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari presented the 13th Afternoon Newsmakers’ Achievers’ Awards to eminent personalities from different walks of life at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Thursday (26th Aug)
Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar, Padma Vibhushan Babasaheb Purandare, Mandakini Amte and actress Usha Nadkarni were presented the Lifetime Achievement Awards on the occasion.
Leader of the Opposition Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chairperson of Legislative Council Dr Neelam Gorhe, Deputy Speaker Narhari Zirwal and Dhanajay Shinde from Aam Admi Party were honoured for excellence in public life.
Municipal Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal, MPSC Member Pratap Dighavakar, Hotelier Vithal Kamat, Filmstar Manoj Vajpayee and Rajashree Deshpande, lawyer Mrunalini Deshmukh, Vasant Shinde, Dr. Parag Telang, journalists Rohan Dua, Khalil Sharif Girkar, Sanjay Jog, President of Mumbai Marathi Patrakar Sangh Narendra Wable, Sushant Sinha, Chetan Sashital, police officer Sunil Kadasane and Usha Patel were felicitated by Governor.
The newsmakers Achievers Awards presentation function was organized by the Afternoon Voice newspaper. Group Editor of the newspaper Vaidehi Taman conducted the proceedings and introduced the awardees.
