International Women’s Day 2026: Cancer Warriors to Walk the Ramp at Bold Walk Event in Mumbai

Mumbai: On International Women’s Day, Bold Walk 2026 will see 15–20 cancer warriors walk the ramp with pride and confidence on Sunday at Oberoi Mall in Mumbai, celebrating courage, resilience, and hope.

Each step taken by the participants will symbolise a powerful journey of strength, resilience, and hope, transforming the ramp into a platform of inspiration. The event aims to uplift the spirits of those who have battled cancer while encouraging society to view the disease not with fear, but with empathy, awareness, and positivity.

Conceptualised and executed by Astitv Entertainment and conceived by Nayna Dinesh Kanal, the event celebrates courage and the indomitable human spirit. Nayna believes that individuals who fight cancer should not merely be called survivors but “warriors”, acknowledging their strength and determination.

The evening will be hosted and anchored by Dr Neeraja Gopinathan, adding warmth and inspiration to the event.

One of the highlights of the evening will be a live dance therapy session conducted by internationally recognised dance therapist Shipra Das, who works between Germany and India. Through expressive movement and guided exercises, she will lead the cancer warriors in a therapeutic experience designed to release emotional stress, uplift spirits, and promote healing.
Visitors at the mall will also be invited to participate, helping them understand the positive impact of movement and creative expression on emotional well-being.

The ramp walk will be choreographed by Pooja Gagwani, known for her vibrant personality and work as a social activist and animal lover. Her choreography aims to ensure that each participant walks the ramp with confidence and pride.

The evening will also feature performances by guest artists and entertainers, adding celebratory moments to the inspiring atmosphere.

Importantly, a portion of the proceeds from the event will support cancer treatment initiatives run by PMK Foundation at its Day Care Center – Global Cancer Care, helping provide financial assistance to patients currently undergoing treatment who may otherwise struggle to afford quality medical care.

The event promises to be a moving celebration of strength, resilience, and solidarity, turning the spotlight on cancer warriors who continue to inspire society with their courage.
