Kolkata: This morning, for the second consecutive day, West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankar was surrounded by black flag-waving students at Jadavpur University in Kolkata. The Governor had arrived to attend the annual convocation ceremony. The students protested the Citizenship Act, and the public statements of Mr. Dhankar in favor of the act, as well as his "intervention" in the annual convocation of the university. "I'm shocked and surprised how the university can not manage this situation. It's a total system failure," said Mr. Dhankar.
