Thiruvananthapuram: K Muhmmed Basheer, 35 a journalist with Siraj, a malayalam daily, was killed in a road accident in  Thiruvananthapuram late last night by a car driven by IAS officer rammed his motorcycle. 

Besides IAS officer Sreeram Venkitaraman, a lady was also in the car, the police said. "There were conflicting statements.The city police chief Dhinendra Kashyap confrmed that a person witnesses Sreeram Venkitaraman IAS was driving the car.
