Mumbai: In the early hours of Monday, after complaining of breathing difficulties, iconic singer Lata Mangeshkar was admitted to the Breach Candy hospital's Intensive Care Unit, hospital sources said. In 2001, Mangeshkar, who gave her voice in Hindi alone to over 1,000 songs, was awarded the Bharat Ratna, the country's highest civilian honour.
