Puri, Odisha: As part of the Lord Jagannath Ratha Yatra preparations, brass artisan Sagar Sahu shared that he receives the brass ornaments from the temple office a day after Snana Purnima. These include 96 pieces in total. Each chariot has 12 brass crocodiles and 12 Rahu heads, while 24 fish and banana tree designs are used across all three chariots. The Yatra starts on the 27th of June this year. During Ratha Yatra, Lord Jagannath (Lord Krishna, who is the incarnation of Lord Vishnu) comes out on a divine outing with his brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra, along with his divine weapon Sudarshana, leaving behind His wife Mahalaxmi.
