The railway bridge in Andheri, connecting the Eastern Andheri and Western Andheri, collapsed due to heavy rain, leaving six persons injured.  A portion of the Gokhale bridge which connects both western and eastern parts of Andheri was collapsed around 7.30am in the morning.

The train services in the western suburban lines have been halted as the bridge fell over to the railway track.

Fire and rescue force as well as police rushed on to the spot immediately and led the rescue operations. The police informed that they have rescued two men and a lady who were trapped under the debris.
