This year, from 9-11 February, the Vasai Fine Arts Society is hosting a diverse cultural programme for art lovers, the Vasai Fine Arts Festival 2024, in the suburban Vasai West near Mumbai.

 

Programme Details

• Friday, 09th February 2024: At 6.30 pm, the Classical Music Fest will be held under the leadership of Sri. P. Unnikrishnan, a famous playback singer & Carnatic musician, is also a national award winner.
• Saturday 10th February 2024: At 05.30 pm, Double Thaayambaka, a percussion performance by Puthukode Unnikrishan, Amit Nair & Team.

On the same day, classical dance at 8.00 pm will be presented by a talented family of artists, including teacher Kalamandalam Sumathi, her daughter and reputed dancer and film star Asha Sharat and granddaughter Utthara Sharat.

• Sunday 11th February 2024: Kathakali – Karnashapatham, at 06.30 pm, presented by the following reputed artists in the world of Kathakali:

 

*Karnan by Kalamandalam Balasubramanian Aashaan

*Kunti by Maargi Vijaykumar

*Duryodhanan by Kalamandalam Gopalakrishnan

*Dushasanan by Kalakshethram Ranjeesh Nair

*Bhanumathi by Kalakshethram Divya Variar

*Vocals by famous artists of Kathakali music, Kalamandalam Girishan, Kottakkal Madhu, and Nedumballi Ram-Mohan

*Chenda by Kalamandalam Krishnadas

*Maddhalam by Kalamandalam Rajanarayanan

*Purappad by Kalakshetram Shilpa Warrier

Moreover, the Karnashapatham Kathakali performance will be an unforgettable visual treat for Mumbai.

Vasai Fine Arts Society, which has been providing cultural activities and social services since 2016, has already established itself in the thoughts of those around it through noticeable contributions in the social and artistic fields.
