Chamba (Himachal Pradesh): With the onset of the winter season, illegal hunting activities intensify in hilly areas. These hunters hunt the precious animals and birds living in the forests, causing them to suffer huge losses. 

Given this issue, Forest Division Churah has started taking precautions. 

Churah Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Sushil Guleria said, “The winter season has started, and we often receive complaints of poaching in the higher reaches of our Churah division, where snowfall is now expected. Therefore, we have formed investigation teams for different ranges. They have been instructed to patrol the forests regularly, and if any poaching activity is reported, appropriate action will be taken as per law.”
