Forty-seven-year-old Jolly Thomas, who had eliminated six people in her family for several years, attempted suicide by cutting off her right wrists early on Thursday and was quickly rushed to the hospital of Medical College, here, police say. Jolly, who had been housed in the Kozhikode District Jail, first bit her wrists and then rubbed it against the tiles and wounded herself, according to a statement given to the hospital police. The hospital authorities indicate that a surgery is needed.
