New Delhi:BJP leader and former union minister Chinmayanand was accused of rape by a young lady who was found in Rajasthan and was missing from her home in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, for a week. In a police complaint, the law student complained that Chinmayanand had abused her and abused her for a year. The woman, 23, is a student at a law college run by 72-year-old Chinmayanand, a three-time MP. Her brother also studies there. She said she had lodged her complaint in Delhi for refusing to do so by the UP police."Swami Chinmayanand raped me and even physically abused me for a year," she said in front of the press, covering her face with a black scarf."This complaint was recorded by the Delhi Police at the Lodhi Road Police Station and forwarded to Shahjahanpur Police, which does not record the rape case," she said.
