Shahjanpur: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating the case of Shahjahanpur rape has sealed the accused BJP leader Swami Chinmayanand's Divya ashram. "All the rooms in the ashram were sealed and only one room was left open. There was a heavy deployment of force outside the ashram. Forensic teams were called in to take evidence from the accused's bedroom and other rooms," a police officer said. The SIT had earlier searched the hostel room of the victim after which her father claimed that evidences locked in the room were missing.Earlier on Thursday, SIT had recorded the statement of SS Law College Principal Sanjay Kumar Baranwal and Secretary Avanish Misra. The 23-year-old postgraduate student claimed that the BJP leader, whose organisation operates several schools in Shahjahanpur, exploited her repeatedly and "physically abused" her for a year.
