Groupon India, Unicef to raise funds for children education

Unicef has partnered with daily deals site Groupon to raise funds for promoting quality education for children in India. Unicef India Celebrity Advocate Kareena Kapoor has also lent her support to the initiative.
Through this partnership, Groupon will reach out to its customers in India to donate an amount between Rs.499 to Rs.799 on each deal. For every donation made on the site, Kareena will give an equivalent amount, thereby doubling the donation.
“This simple act of donating a small amount can have far reaching impact on the lives of millions of children. I am excited that through this partnership we can demonstrate our commitment towards causes affecting children,” Groupon India’s CEO Ankur Warikoo said in a statement.
Kareena is also encouraging everyone to contribute and help them improve lives.
“I truly hope that we together can make a difference and build a better future for children of our country,” she said.
