IGNOU invites nominations for education awards

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Thursday invited nominations from individuals and organisations who have made innovations in the field of education for the Rajiv Gandhi International Prize for Education and Technology Development.
According to the varsity, contributions in education and technology development of diverse areas in the last five years shall be considered for the award technology enabled education and development, innovation in the field of educational processes: pedagogy, delivery, affordability, dissemination, community involvement and research and development in educational technology.
"The award is worth Rs.5 lakh and the nomination should be made in the prescribed format specifically indicating the outcome, impact of the work of the individual, institution and organization," the statement said.
The varsity also said prescribed nomination form and the detailed modalities are available in the IGNOU website i.e. www.ignou.ac.in
The last date for nominations is July 27.
IGNOU is the world's largest open university system with a pan-India and international reach with flexible entry qualifications and a wide range of academic programmes at affordable cost.
