Mumbai: Dr Omman David, a prominent figure in the field of education, was honoured with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award instituted by leading Marathi dailies in Mumbai. The award was presented by Shri Naresh Mhaske, Member of Parliament and former Mayor of Thane, as part of the Navabharat–Navarashtra Sanman Ceremony.
The award ceremony, held at the Dr Kashinath Ghanekar Auditorium in Thane, recognised individuals and institutions for their outstanding contributions across various sectors in the Thane region. The event was led by Sachin Phulpagar, managing director of the Navabharat Group.
Expressing his gratitude, Dr David emphasised the vital role schools play in the social and cultural development of the nation. He shared his deep sense of fulfilment in seeing many of his former students now holding prominent positions in society, stating that such moments of recognition surpass any formal award in value.
Recently, Dr Omman David was also appointed as the Patron of the World Malayali Federation (WMF), a global organisation with a presence in 166 countries.
