Media Eye News Bureau: BTS are not only taking over the charts, they’re taking over the internet as well, as they smash another record with 12 million followers on Twitter, becoming the most followed Korean Twitter account.

The Mic Drop hit-makers are followed by many major celebrities including Ellen DeGeneres, Charli XCX, James Corden, Camila Cabello and Maroon 5 among others. They are currently the most famous K-pop group in the world and are also currently number one on iTunes the world over, and have sold over a million albums.

In an interview, they admitted that, “We were born at the right time. Without social media we wouldn’t have been so successful.” Their social media following overall is combined over 30 million followers.

A reason for their success worldwide could be attributed to the hard work BTS put into their music and performances. It was reported that they spend almost 12-15 hours a day practising  for the performances and that they have almost no schedule for a month if they have an album to make as RM, the group’s leader confessed in an interview.
