Cinema closed until real life doesn t feel like a movie warns trolls

What does art and Cinema, in general, has to do with a lockdown which spans up to a month or more? obviously art and entertainment aren't major subjects deserves attention because life itself is at stake during these days, which are essential for the revival of human life within the spheres of social structure. But even though the majority of the population have become completely in terms with this volunteered self-isolation, the inevitable mental infection of melancholy still spreads strongly in the air.
The infinite loop of recurring thoughts may affect the sanity of a normal social being. In this invisible space lies the power and magic of Cinema and literature also art In general. The basic and very crucial inner challenge that we have to battle is our years of conditioning to become a constant consumer. Consumerist habits itself has been a threat to genuine art appraisal. (Try to imagine a superhero Blockbuster in which the climax doesn't involve the superhero defusing a deadly massive explosive). The quarantine period is the most appropriate phrase to introspect our lives as a social being and as an individual consumer. The personal crisis we experience in lockdown in any situation where we have to stay in a place can be healed by stories with New Perspectives because stories help you to travel to distant places and it moves you even if you aren't moving, so these are some movies to revisit at these times.
1  ..The Andromeda Strain (1969): The Andromeda Strain is a science fiction movie that was Far Beyond its time. Unlike the Popular Science Fiction, it doesn't involve a scenario with missiles and combat with explosives. But it deals with the realistic situation which depicts the threat that we are vulnerable to as species, whose security lies on precarious social foundations. Released 14 years prior to the Chernobyl disaster, the visuals of this movie actually has prophetic predictability that the often scrupulous endeavours of humans to go beyond its natural territory may lead to a backfire from nature itself. Even though the film in Hindsight considering all the well-made scientific films in the later years of the century may seem a little undone with its execution of the unfolding events, it earns it's worth for watching, For its rawness and the philosophical insights it offers. The film follows a group of scientists trying to control the Panic caused by an outbreak from an extraterrestrial microbe which spreads on the earth through a crashed satellite on a particular region. The film is definitely worth a watch during these times.

2.The road(2009): The road is a post-apocalyptic movie based on the novel by Cormac McCarthy by the same name. The road is a movie which actually does not exhibit the slow breakdown of the human society, but rather sets up the act in the doomed post-apocalyptic World itself where a father and son has to fight climatic conditions, scarcity, loneliness and the worse outrage of human savagery. The road doesn't have layers of multiple dramatic sheets on it visibly, but the film touches its chord by displaying how far people will go to protect oneself and the ones we love during the time of adversity. It can be enjoyed as a Survival action movie. So it does have the qualities of an adrenaline trip. The film does make some observations on the hollow security provided by civilization and shows human nature in a  raw manner that literally every character is driven by hunger or longing for shelter. In a way, it questions the morality of humans also, but in this journey, the ultimate moral crisis for the characters is how much of the values defined by humanity can they retain in themselves. At a point, the film shifts from the hero versus mob mood to the hero fighting his own Inner Demons

3.the lobster(2015): The lobster would be definitely the odd one out in the list. But just for the idiosyncratic display of the film, it would be eligible to be in any list of movies. What makes Lobster interesting is it is too many things becoming one movie. Lobster is a dystopian drama where single men should find out a partner in 45 days or they are forced to be an animal. The film is a satirical take on the normalcies which society has accepted and how it forces it on an individual. It's a very humorously dark movie that it would feel like George Orwell is doing a stand-up comedy while you watch this film. Lobster is a part of the Greek weird wave of Cinema where stories are treated with stylized frames and eerie music. It's a film about a person being alienated in his society but offers you laugh out moments  loud with empathy

4. Her(2013): Her is a very innocent and poetic movie with stunningly colourful and beautiful shots. It's about a man who falls in love with an artificial intelligence program which helps him to write. Set in the near future, the lead character lives in a world where humans are surrounded by gadgets and the technological dependency of an individual is high. The melancholic mood of the film intensified with the contrasting colour palette is completely in  Justice with the changing moods of the lead characters.

It's a poignant take on loneliness at the times of digital distraction. During a volunteered self-isolation which can be healthy and productive unless excessively distracted by the digital world, this movie reflects on how much our technology owns our lives and in turn how much we should own them.
