With Chinese belligerence at LAC promising to mar Sino-Indian relation further, the Bollywood blockbuster ‘Dhoom 3’ tries to soothe the aching nerves of the dragon. The movie is reportedly opened on 2,000 screens in 400 Chinese cities, and reclaimed its position among the top ten movies in China.
After invading the Turkish box office and becoming the only Indian flick to bag the prestigious Turkish Top 10 slot, “Dhoom:3” from Yash Raj Films (YRF) stable has now entered the Chinese Top 10 Charts at number 9, a statement released by YRF stated.
Released on July 25, “Dhoom:3”, which became the first Indian film to get widest release ever in China, came in with a remarkable $1.35 million for the three-day weekend, toppling the local Chinese romance “No Zuo No Die”.
With weekend admissions at 267,000, 'Dhoom 3’ takes a flying start and is on target to become the biggest Indian film in China.
Casting Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan andUday Chopra, the movie is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, who co-scripted with producer and YRF boss Aditya Chopra.
