Interactions with journalists trying to dig into an actor's personal and professional life is a part and parcel of showbiz and megastar Amitabh Bachchan says facing them is not a cakewalk.
The 72-year-old expressed his views on the fourth estate after interacting with a host of news channels, on his official blog.
"An entire day in the company of journalists and media of various hues. Interesting talks but also bludgeoned and blasted to pulp by them. Media always wins, journalists always win…we get pasted, defeated and pinned down to our seats…wondering and hoping for this ordeal to be over so we could breath fresh air again.
"Not easy facing the fourth estate, nor is it ever going to be a state where you shall come out looking victorious…NO …never .. it shall never happen," Big B posted on srbachchan.tumblr.com.
The cine icon, who is garnering plaudits for portrayal of a Bengali father in his latest film "Piku", has come up with a mantra before facing scribes and that is being at the mercy of the journalist.
"So the mantra is take what you get in as courteous a manner as possible and hope that the gentleman or the lady that grills you shall be perhaps a little compassionate when they write in their column or present you through the 'tube’…err… is it still called ‘the tube’, TV,” he shared.
The actor, known for films like "Deewar", "Agneepath", "Sholay", "Don" and "Black", also added that “interviewing and its complex connotations are overwhelming”.
“They consume you, tear you apart. They have the capacity to stand you blindfolded in front of a shooting gallery of armed men, waiting to be shot to death,” shared Bollywood's 'Shahenshah'.
The “Paa” star also took to micro-blogging site Twitter to expound further by posting: “When you face a journalist, you shall never come out a winner! So lie back and bear it! Good hard blows are delights to the mind”.
On the professional front, the actor is busy with his next project "Wazir", which also stars Farhan Akhtar.
