Kiran Rao enjoys masala movies with good content

Filmmaker Kiran Rao, who directed critically acclaimed off-beat film "Dhobi Ghat", enjoys watching masala movies as an audience but says that beyond entertainment, she also looks for good content in such movies.
"I watch certain kinds of masala films. But beyond masala, I want some content (in those films). I don't believe that commercial and mainstream cinema shouldn't have any content at all," Rao said here Tuesday at "Ship Of Theseus" press conference.
"I go to watch the so-called mainstream films for different reasons. I certainly like those films if they are giving me something new to look out for," she added.
Currently, Rao is working on a new project, which she is still writing.
