Salman Khan, who is slated to essay lead role in Sooraj Barjatya's next, Prem Ratan Dhan Pao had reportedly asked the film maker to replace Sonakshi Sinha with Sonam Kapoor.

According to Tinsel Town grapevines, Sonakshi's on-screen chemistry with Salman that had created miracle in Dabang and Dabang 2 compelled Sooraj to finalise Sonakshi for the character in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Meanwhile, Salman Khan reportedly intervened and advised Sooraj to sign a damsel which will give a fresh jodi.

Sooraj was eager to cast Sonakshi opposite Sallu, but the latter suggested someone else opposite him so that people get to see a never-seen-before pair on the silver screen.

Salman and Sonam's pairing has already stirred the appetite of audiences and the people in the industry and their fans are eagerly waiting to see them burn silver screen in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Besides the lead pair, the movie also features Armaan Kohli, Swara Bhaskar and Deepak Dobriyal in key roles.
