Shashant Shah keen on directing horror film

Revenge comedy "Bajatey Raho" director Shashant Shah wishes to make a horror film some day. He is willing to explore other genres.
Earlier, Shah had directed "Dasvidaniya" and "Chalo Dilli". He is also the maker of TV comedy "The Great Indian Comedy Show".
"I have been associated with comedies on TV and my films. I love to watch horrors and I will some day direct a horror (movie) for sure. I don't know when that will happen," Shah told IANS.
Keen on telling good stories, the director, whose strength is comedy genre, is willing to offer action thriller or even love story to the audience.
"I don't limit myself to a genre. If there is a good story to tell, I would like to tell it in the best possible way. I like action thrillers and horror. Also, if there is a unique love story, I would like to do that as well," he said.
It would be interesting to see how Shah presents such subjects on screen, but for now "Bajatey Raho" is his latest offering that released Friday.
He said he has presented the revenge comedy in a different way in "Bajatey Raho".
"There have been so many revenge comedies, it is all about how the revenge is taken. It is the treatment and the journey, which will make it different from others. There are maximum three to four macro genres (in our industry). The journey and treatment are organic and new," he said.
Co-produced by Eros International and Multi Screen Media Motion Pictures, the film reminds him of his TV comedy show.
"It was fantastic. I used to do a show called 'The Great Indian Comedy Show'. This film was like reliving the experience for me. Here also there is an interesting ensemble of people," said Shah.
"Bajatey Raho" stars Tusshar Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Ranvir Shorey and Dolly Ahluwalia.
