Vidyullekha turns singer, enjoys the experience

Southern actress Vidyullekha Raman, busy shooting for five films, has crooned a song in upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual "Malani 22 Palayamkottai", and says she enjoyed her first attempt at singing.

"Malani 22 Palayamkottai" is a remake of critically acclaimed Malayalam film "22 Female Kottayam" and veteran southern actress Sripriya Rajkumar is directing it.

"I have been a theatre actor for seven years and now I'm in films, but I have never attempted singing. This was my first time and I'm glad I enjoyed the experience," Vidyu told IANS.

"Sripriya (director) maam requested me to sing. I crooned with Nithya and Kovai Sarla maam, who have already sung in films in the past. Even though I was initially skeptical, I'm lucky everything went smoothly," she added.

Since she knows Tamil as well as Telugu, Vidyu crooned the song in both the languages.
