Chennai: Chennai port isolates two Chinese crew of M.V. Magnate ship inside the ship and blood samples of the suspects were sent for coronavirus infection test.

The ship was allowed to berth on February 18 after an incubation period of 14 days from the last visit to a Chinese port after ensuring all crew were healthy based on pre-arrival monitoring.  The ship with 19 Chinese crew members are kept out-of-bounds from shore and any crew members are allowed shore access.

The Chennai Port health team took measures after the receipt of the medical report as per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) regarding the matter.
