Dhaka, March 16: Three terrorists were killed on Thursday in suicide blasts during a raid in Bangladesh's Chittagong city, a police officer said.
The terrorists are suspected to be part of the Jamaatul Mujahideen Bangladesh extremist group which was cornered by the security personnels earlier in the day. After gunfire exchange and sounds of explosions, the terrorists were asked to surrender but instead they blew themselves up in their hideout.
One fo the three terrorists was a woman who later succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. The BAngladesh police has been coming down heavy on the various terror factions operating from its soil in a bid to counter the rising extremism in the country.
