A passenger bus and semi-trailer collision left five people dead and 21 wounded in China's Gansu province Sunday, authorities said.

The bus was carrying 33 people when it overturned following the collision in the evening on Lianyungang-Khorgos highway in Wuwei city, reported Xinhua citing provincial public security department.
Four bus passengers died on the spot while another died after medical treatment failed, police said, adding that 21 people were hospitalised.
