Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was given 45 minutes by the Army to leave the country. This was during a period of political unrest in Bangladesh, with widespread protests against her government. In an exclusive conversation with IANS, Sajib Wajed, son of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, refuted the rumours and said that his mother ordered the police and army not to kill the protesters.

It’s important for us to understand the sequence of events. When the protesters marched towards the Prime Minister’s residence, the army set up barricades on the borders of Dhaka. They were instructed not to fire at the protesters, and they followed this order by firing bullets in the air. However, the protesters did not stop and continued moving towards the Prime Minister’s residence.
