ME News Bureau: Prime Minister Narendra Modi jumped ahead of China's Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, British PM Theresa May and many other giants to sit among the top three leaders of the world.

The survey was conducted by Gallup International among the people across 50 countries.

Modi will sit behind German Chancellor Angela Merkel who ranks first in the list along with French President Emmanuel Macron whereas this rank is the best recorded by any Indian PM ever.

The global rankings will give a major boost for Modi ahead of his two-day visit to Davos, Switzerland, to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) between January 22 and 23.
