Japan's August consumer prices up

The consumer prices in Japan were up 0.8 percent in August from a year earlier for the third straight month of increase, the government said Friday.
The core consumer price index, excluding fresh foods, stood at 100.4 against the 2010 base of 100, said the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, reports Xinhua.
