Modi invites Merkel to Maharashtra

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday invited German Chancellor Angela Merkel to visit Maharashtra, which has a large number of German businesses flourishing.
Modi extended the invitation when the two dignitaries visited the 'Magnetic Maharashtra' stall inside the magnificent India Pavilion at the Hannover Messe 2015 global trade fair underway here.
Maharashtra Industry Minister Subhash Desai welcomed them in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and explained the investment opportunities offered by the state.
An Indo-Danish trade delegation also called on Fadnavis who assured them that foreign investors would be welcomed in the state and all bureaucratic hassles would be removed to facilitate investments.
During their visit, Fadnavis and Desai are scheduled to meet with top executives of Mercedes, GSB Electronics, Vestas Turbines, and heads of Indian companies like Kirloskar, Indo-MIM Tec Pvt. Ltd, which have operations in Germany.
