Nine Killed In Christchur

CHRISTCHURCH: Nine people were killed in a shooting in two Muslim Mosques in New Zealand's Christchurch, located in the South Island. The gunman targeted the worshippers who gathered for Friday afternoon prayers, and members of the Bangladesh Cricket team were arriving when the shooter opened fire.

Many people are injured as well, reported local media. New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern described the shooting as "one of New Zealand's darkest days".

Witnesses have said that the shooter had come in a military dress, carrying an automatic rifle, and started firing on the worshippers came for prayers. They targeted the children as well.

The third Cricket Test between New Zealand and Bangladesh has been called off in the wake of security issues.
