Nine million kids deprived of education in Pakistan
Islamabad,  A staggering 6.5 million children in Pakistan are deprived of primary education, with three in 10 children never being able to attend school, the UNICEF has said in its latest report.

About 2.7 million children in the country do not receive a secondary education, said the report, which warned that poverty would increase in Pakistan if the education emergency was not immediately addressed, Geo New reported Thursday.

The report, highlighting statistics on the state of education in Pakistan, has revealed 38.9 percent of girls never attend primary school, 30.2 percent of children never attend school,  and 42.8 percent of children leave school before completing their education.

Girls outnumber boys in the number of children being deprived of an education.
