Six killed in US house blaze

Six people were killed on Sunday in a fire that engulfed two homes in the city of Newark in the US state of New Jersey, the media reported.
The blaze struck the three-story single-family house at about 4 a.m. and rapidly spread to another home which was also destroyed, the local media quoted the Essex county prosecutor's office as saying, according to Xinhua.
Newark is the county seat. The victims were not identified. Local authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
