A Chinese man survived a gunshot after his Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 smartphone took a bullet for him.

 

 The man picked up a wallet dropped by another man and joked about using it to buy beer.

 

 The owner of the wallet did not find the remark funny and whipped out a gun. The victim was shot in the arm but his phone in his shirt pocket blocked the bullet from reaching any of his internal organs. The man has survived the attack but he had to throw the damaged phone, media reports said.

 

 Released last year, Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 is an android phone with a large 6.3-inch display.
